To compliment the vintage appeal of the Söfft Autumn/Winter line, we traveled to remote parts of the American South West, from the swirling walls of hidden Antelope Canyon to the mountainous terrain on the shores of Lake Powell, to bring our campaign to life. What we found was the perfect place to capture our collection: wild, rustic beauty, inspiring sculptural forms and the rich, vibrant colors of the desert.

The historical Abbey, La Badia, was built in the 16th century by the noble Lombard Lady Rotruda along with the primitive church of San Silvestro. The city of Orvieto, where La Badia is located, dates back to the Etruscan civilization and has seen the days of the Romans, Middle Ages and the Papal Rule. Today, Orvieto is among the most dramatic cities in Europe with its defensive walls built from volcanic tuffs.

As the capital city of the Umbria region of Italy, Perugia is known as a notable artistic hub and is home to the Umbria Jazz Festival. As a major producer of Chocolate, once every year, the city becomes a place of wonder as the Eurochocolate Event is hosted in Perugia and attendees can walk the streets as sculpture artists create works of art made entirely from chocolate.

The majestic Castle of the Moors was built here in Sintra, Portugal between the 9th and 10th centuries. The current structure experienced a profound renovation in the 1830s when King Ferdinand II rescued the building from an extended period of ruin. The rustic beauty of the walls and towers, coupled with the vegetation and location atop the hill has given it a romantic, almost fairy-tale ambiance.

Óbidos, a small Portuguese town meaning "fortified city", is almost completely encapsulated by a secure stonewall. The medieval look of the streets and the cozy village overlooked by the castle that shares its name, has made Óbidos one of the preferred travel destinations and tourist attractions in all of Portugal.

Visitors are drawn to Cabo Espichel because of its gorgeous views of the Atlantic Ocean, right off the coast of southwestern Portugal. We were drawn to the shrine of Nossa Senhora, an immortalized pilgrimage site built in 1701, because of its natural, Baroque-style architecture, and its placement right along the cliffs.

Hacienda Chichi Suarez, founded in the mid-sixteenth century by conquistador Don Alonso de Rosado, has done its best to preserve the nostalgia of old, rural Mexico. Today the main house is still in use for large events like concerts and weddings.

This image of the Bergamo captures a beautiful, architectural shot of a plantation building in the central square of Hacienda Yaxcopoil. Today, La Hacienda serves as a museum, as it has been preserved although not renovated to maintain the mystique of history of the Yucatan.

Named after ancient Mayan ruins from surrounding areas, Hacienda Yaxcopoil was once one of the most important estates throughout the Yucatan region. This shot of the Vittoria was taken in the machine house, which was operated for over a century, up until 1984. The wooden ladders and weathered stonewalls echo the rustic charm of the buildings of the region.

Delicious, authentic cuisine is prepared with fresh ingredients and a relaxed attitude at this quaint taco stand in Todos Santos. You will frequently see both locals and tourists alike sitting under the awning to escape the sun and bask in a welcome respite from a busy day.

The Todos Santos Café sits immersed in a captivating legacy that speaks to the authentic artistry of old world Mexico. This timeless coffee shop tells stories of travelers’ pasts and inspires new memories to those that make it a stop on their journey.

The Hotel California unlocks the beauty of Old Mexico while ushering in vibrant colors that resonate with guests that visit from all across the world. Stories that the building served as inspiration for The Eagles rock song that shares the same name are purely speculation.

The windmills in the quaint background served as inspiration for Miguel de Cervantes classic novel Don Quixote, as it was set in La Mancha, this elevated plateau in central Spain.

The Old World artistry of the Batres Castle inspired renowned Spanish poet Garcilaso de la Vega to write almost exclusively within the Castle. The gardens in the courtyard echo the lush greenery of the entire region.

Named after the legendary Spanish knight El Cid, the Almonacid de Toledo Castle sits atop a hill that portrayed its eminence and superiority during La Reconquista from the 8th to the 15th Century.

These weathered stonewalls withstood attacks from the English in the 1590s and the Dutch in 1625, as well as centuries of the relentless San Juan sunshine. This spacious image speaks to the majesty of the Fort San Felipe del Morro; a citadel that at one time protected the entire city of San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Whisked up to the northern coast of Puerto Rico, our Maren glistens amongst the sand-touched lava rock surrounded by Mar Chiquita, or “Little Sea”. The remains in the foreground were at one time a live-in restaurant owned by an English couple that had built the structure a little too close to the water.

The tunnels within the depths of Fort San Cristobal carry the pride and legacies of battalions that used to inhabit the Fort. Soldiers used to hoard enough rainwater in receptacles underneath the structure to last them over a year. We found our way to this secluded area amidst the winding passages to capture an everlasting shot of the Roma.
