Trend Report: Amalfi

Fashion Tips

The term ‘fashion-forward’ usually implies a look that is new, edgy, perhaps even ‘out-there’. But sometimes, after always trying to come up with the next big thing, fashion takes a break and lets the past do the work from them. That’s exactly what happened on the runways for fall, where we saw the resurgence of prim and proper looks inspired by 1950’s. Hey – if it ain’t broke, don’t re-design it! So go ahead and dress like a lady with polished skirts and dresses, top-handle bags and the Amalfi, a refined and classic pump with a feminine bow. Now if only we could bring back the days of drive-ins, jukeboxes and ice cream counters…

Fall Fashion Tips Kickoff: The REYNA

Fashion Tips

Fall is the most transforming season. For almost everyone, it’s the end of summer and the return to the more routine. For some, it’s the beginning of a new school year, the end of a vacation, and for a select few perhaps the end of an era or the start of something exciting. But I think everyone here can agree that no matter where you are going, what you are starting or what you’re leaving behind, there’s no better transformation for your look than fall fashion. For a true fashionista, one might even argue for the soul. The texture, the layering, the coziness and the return of those comforting darker colors means endless options for the cooler and shorter days ahead. And with those cooler days comes more accessories – hats, gloves, scarves, are all outlets for showing off your style. And let us not forget about the single greatest transformation that fall brings to us: the return of the tall shaft boot. If that isn’t enough to give you the chills, then perhaps you’re reading the wrong blog.

To get you excited for fall, I’m introducing you first and foremost to the REYNA, our super sexy gladiator heel that calls to the edgier girl inside of us all. REYNA is a true rockstar, so dress appropriately in chic rock and roll style with gleaming hardware, zippers and studs while you paint the rest black!

Trend Report: Fiore

Fashion Tips

Let’s face it, packing for a trip is hard. If you’re like me, you try to prepare outfits based on your destination and how long you’ll be there, but the inevitable extra three, four, or twenty-something pieces always find their way into your bag and before you know it, you’re sitting on it just to zipper it closed, never mind breaking your back trying to lift it. Luckily, there are a few tricks to packing just right for a getaway – the most valuable one? Pack lightweight, dark colored, go-with-everything clothing. You’ll be amazed at how many outfits you can pull together with the right accessories and just one or two key pieces of clothing. Take a cue from these summer vacation looks, using just one cotton dress and the chic Fiore sandal in gold!

Trend Report: Ryder

Fashion Tips

While we may think of gladiator sandals as the hot new trend that’s transforming our casual wear into sleek and chic ensembles, the truth is that they’ve been around since, well…the gladiators. The Romans were definitely beyond their time when it came to things like engineering, agriculture, and fashion. Their discoveries and accomplishments mean we don’t have to re-invent the wheel – all we need to do is make it modern. This season, black and white ruled the runways, so grab the Ryder, throw on some crisp black and white pieces because when in Rome… do as the Gods of Style do.

Trend Report: Noral

Fashion Tips

Last night, a friend and I watched the movie “An Education” starring the lovely Carrey Mulligan as Jenny. The film was set in London in the 60’s, and we both immediately in love with the whole look – the scenery, the music, the retro clothes. Young Jenny went from pretty school girl to impossibly chic virtually overnight, and I kept wondering what it was that was pulling her look together so effortlessly. Naturally, all I had to do was turn to her feet: at the base of every one of her sleek and polished outfits was a pair of slingbacks! The Noral are the perfect summer slingback, with their light natural heels and crossed leather straps revealing a sexy peep-toe.

Give spring/summer’s super hot prints trend a touch of classic glamour with a patent slingback!

One of the major shoe trends for spring and summer is the wedge, and for good reason: they’re adorable, they’re comfortable and while they are more casual than a stiletto, they’re so easy to dress up, too! And what’s great about the wedge trend is just how well it works with all of spring’s other trends. So grab your own pair of the Petrella and have fun mixing and matching your way through the summer!

Trend Report: Biata

Fashion Tips

Spring fashion is full of trendsetting and fun looks this season, from acrylic jewels to flowery prints to neon yellow, well, just about anything. But the one spring trend that is the most flattering, the most universal, and the most timeless (i.e. full of value!) is the neutral color palette. These soft pastel tones look fantastic on absolutely everyone, and they’re so chic and refined that no matter what the occasion you’re dressing for, you’ll be anything but boring! This season, the Biata in Ivory is the perfect shoe to carry you through a spring full of pretty neutrals, with it’s Grecian-inpired gladiator design, creamy color and earthy-tan heel. Who needs acid yellow to stand out when you can knock ‘em dead in these looks?

Bring Out Your Girly Side With Peony

Fashion Tips

Nothing conjures up thoughts of spring quite like a bursting bouquet of peonies, natures most voluptuous and feminine flower. The name Peony, therefore, is quite fitting for this sweet wedge, with it’s large blossom detail, light gold-flecked cork heel and buttery soft leather in a bright coral color. The Peony wedge, much like the peony flower, can’t help but bring out the girly side of you. Pair this shoe with muted blush tones and neutral grays to look not only sophisticated, but undeniably charming!
