The Perfect Resort Sandal: The Söfft Filia

Fashion Tips

Let’s talk about resort fashion. Mostly because we know you would like to be at a resort right now, but more importantly because it’s the time of year when many people do visit resorts. A resort vacation is an escape from work and the ho-hum of everyday life, and your wardrobe for such a trip should do the same! It’s a chance to play with color, new silhouettes and things you may not normally wear back home. So when you’re packing your bags, be sure to include the white Filia sandal – the perfect resort slide with multi-color sparkling jewels and a small heel that’s just right for the beach, a day of shopping and finally a romantic dinner in the evening. In fact, you may not even need another pair of shoes on your trip, which leaves more room in your suitcase for important things like SPF, sunglasses and souvenir shot glasses. Bon Voyage!

Hello Spring, Hello Toes!

Fashion Tips

It’s around mid-February every year that you start to set your eyes on the prize – spring, that is. It’s the beacon of hope that gets you through the rest of the winter – knowing that in (hopefully) just 6 or so weeks you won’t need mittens to drive to work, you can hang up the heavy winter jacket and you can maybe even slip your feet into a pair of open-toe shoes. That, my friends, is the true sign of spring. Maybe some of you are already experiencing some warmer days, or maybe you’re lucky to live in a place where it never gets this cold, but we can all agree that spring is exciting not just for the weather, but for the FASHION! It’s the season of color and flirty fabrics and lovely, lovely sandals. Söfft unveiled some utterly sexy and sultry looks for Spring 2010, including the Palermo – at first glance, this may look like a full-coverage heel but make no mistake about it, this shoe is h-o-t! The super-soft layered suede wraps around your foot, giving you that legs-for-days look that was all over the runway. And the flattering grey color is the perfect neutral to compliment spring’s blush tones and bright color palette.

See how well the Palermo takes you from the office to a night out and through the weekend, then hurry up are orders yours today before they are gone…like winter should be!

Make A Statement In Navy This Holiday Season

Fashion Tips

The holidays seem to sneak up on us every year, don’t they? The time between that last beach day of the summer and when the first department store holiday tree goes up seems to grow shorter and shorter every year. But now that the leaves have fallen, there’s no denying it: the most wonderful time of the year is upon us! The time for good fun, good cheer and great parties!

No matter if you’re hosting the family dinner or you’ve been invited to an elegant soiree, Söfft has all the fabulous holiday looks you’ll need to keep you comfortable and effortlessly stylish. This season, instead of opting for the traditional holiday red, why not make a splash in something a little more unexpected? Show off sleek winter style in shimmering patent navy blue! The Olina is a classic slingback, making it easily transition from casual to dressy, and the sparkling sapphire hue gives some glamour to icy winter nights. Paired with silvery whites and pops of color, you’ll look sleek, chic and perfectly dressed for a winter evening!

Editor’s Picks: Fall 2009

Fashion Tips

Each season, I head to the Big Apple to meet with accessory and fashion editors from major fashion publications and popular style blog sites. It’s always an exciting trip – from pounding the pavement up and down midtown Manhattan to visiting the big publishing companies that house such fabulous magazines as People, Oprah Magazine, Lucky and Glamour (to name a few). And, I’m always intrigued by what the editors are wearing for they are truly in the know and always a season or two ahead of the rest of us (all those goodie bags from designers – so unfair!). That’s why it’s especially exciting to hear what they think of the Söfft line. And let me tell you – they light-up when they see what Söfft has come up with next. New York fashion editors perhaps know all too well that fashion does not always equate comfort but Söfft continues to prove otherwise. Fashion editors celebrated these Söfft Fall 2009 Shoes most:

1. ORLENA: A Victorian-inspired cuffed ankle boot accented with vintage corset buttons.

2. FLEUR: An oversized suede bow gives this classic pump a festive appeal.

3. GAZELLE: Luscious suedes and bold patents adorn this fearless oversized t-strap.

4. BERGAMO: An equestrian-inspired boot designed with hand-burnished underlain buttons.

5. SALERNO: An artistically color-blocked pump hand-crafted with precision and expertise.

From The Fashion Vault: Victorian Era Charm

Fashion Tips

Fashion is a funny business – just when you think major style eras of the past have been locked in the industry vault forever, poof! they’re back. But what can sometimes be a bit frightening to re-visit (um, the 80’s? Already?!?), some styles are definitely worth a second try. This fall, the Victorian era was touched upon with elegant lace, ruffles, corset buttons and vintage silhouettes making strong statements on the runways. What was once probably considered stuffy and conservative now looks ultra feminine and charming. Luckily, Söfft was one step ahead of the style game and introduced the Verina, a patent-cap toed lace-up number that will have you asking why we ever stopped wearing these styles in the first place! The metallic pewter color looks especially pretty when paired with flirty blush tones. So step a little further back in time, try on some vintage looks with the Verina, and let’s leave the 80’s back in the 80’s for now. Trust me, they’ll be back full force before we know it anyway!

Cozy Up With The Bergamo Boot

Fashion Tips

If you’re lucky to live in the Boston area, like us here at Söfft, then you probably experienced a little snow last week. That’s right, snow. In October! Call me crazy, but instead of lamenting over the upcoming cold and dark months, we here at Sofft found ourselves getting a little excited. When the weather gets colder, things get cozier! There’s nothing more comforting during winter than a cozy pair of boots and this year, the Bergamo is warming hearts…and toes of boot lovers everywhere. It’s such a versatile boot – wear it everywhere from dinners out on the town to apple picking and, of course, to work. Whether it still feels like fall where you are, or if you’re starting to see the signs of winter, don’t get left out in the cold and grab the Bergamo while it’s still here – a comfortable and stylish boot is one winter accessory you don’t want to be without!

From Booties To Shooties, We Bring You The Fortuna

Fashion Tips

Ladies, turn your attention to the shining star of fall fashion this season: the shootie. What is a shootie? Well, it’s a mix between a shoe and an ankle boot, and right now it’s one of the hottest styles for your feet. It’s edgier than a pump, but lighter than a knee-high boot and can be worn with everything from cocktail dresses to comfy denim. This season, Söfft created the Fortuna – the quintessential shootie – in fabulous black patent or smooth black leather. The patent looks especially great with black tights or pants for an ultra-lengthening effect. So pick up a pair of these shimmering stunners, and get used to saying the word “shootie” because we have a feeling it’s going to be hot for seasons to come, much like these very shooties!

How To Wear This Falls Super Trend: Ankle Boots

Fashion Tips

There are a million things to love about fall, especially in New England, where Sofft Shoe is headquartered. We love the beautiful foliage, perfect weather, pumpkin pie and, of course, boots. Never fear the weather turning a bit chillier because it means you can bring all your favorite boots out of their summer hibernation. This fall, the ankle boot reigns supreme, and mixed in with your pumps and knee-high boots, it adds another level of versatility to your wardrobe.

The Simola gives you some of this season’s hottest trends, like a rugged tread, high heel and burnished, distressed leather. Take a look at how this ankle bootie can give you multiple wardrobe options, and we’re sure you’ll agree: there’s a lot to love about fall!
